Biographial Sketch of Lynda Buchanan:

Lynda actually grew up in Central Topeka having attended Central Park Christian Church with a friend while in grade school. She graduated from Highland Park HS and during her HS years attended, although not regularly, Central Congregational Church youth fellowship group with another girl friend. She attended Washburn University with a major in accounting and has an equivalent to an associate's degree in accounting. She met Dan, a Seaman-ite, on a blind date in 1966, who swept her off her feet! Well, that ended college for her!!

Dan had majority ownership and managed an automotive machine shop for 39 years. Upon his retirement, he received his real estate license in 2000 and continues to enjoy his new endeavor. Lynda joined him in 2002 as his licensed assistant and continues to help him part-time on weekends and occasionally in the evenings.

Dan and Lynda started attending Northland Christian Church from the moment they met. That was a requirement from Dan's mom. No questions asked. Pastor Dale Thomas married them at NCC in June 1967. Dan and Lynda officially joined the church shortly after where Lynda made her confession of faith and was baptized. Dan had made his confession of faith and was baptized as a small boy in St. Joseph, Mo. To date, they have been at Northland Christian Church 40 yrs.

Through all of their adult years, they have served on or been involved in almost every committee at one time or another. Dan has served as Elder since the 70's.

God has always been the main driving source of their lives. The miracles he has performed in their lives have been too numerous to count and the blessings he has given them would overflow all the oceans in the world.
